News from Havelock Friends of the Library for April

Here is the news from the President of the Havelock Friends of the Library, Luann Rottmann:

1. We are having a Book/Media Sale April 5 and 6th!  We have not had a sale in a while so we are expecting a good amount of items.  We are accepting  donations of books, dvd’s, cd’s, games, and puzzles.  Also,  during this sale we are selling are some very cute wooden bunny baskets that are  hand crafted and given to the Friends. The price will be $15.00. We look forward to seeing you at this sale.
2.  While you are at the library for the book sale, get a ticket for the spring raffle which features “all things spring” including a hummingbird feeder,  seeds, stackable garden planter, garden flag, a cute birdhouse and more….more.   I will include a picture at the end of the email.  The tickets are  $1.00 each or 6 for $5.oo. The drawing will be April 17th at noon.  We extend our thanks to MaryEllen for all the work she did for this raffle and to  those who donated items.
3.  National Library Week is Apr.7-13 and the theme is “Libraries=Strong Communities”. The Friends will have a table set up in the library on April 10th to  talk to any of you who might be interested in joining our group.  We will have someone at the table 10 am-12 am and 1 pm-3 pm.  Refreshments  will be served.
4. And our next raffle will be focusing on travel.  We are looking for things like a visor, wineglasses, small first aid kit, travel size hand sanitizer, sun screen,  wipes, and tissues.  If you would like to donate any of these items, drop them off at the library by Friday, April 12th.

Thank you Luann. Stay tuned for more information about what is happening at the Havelock Library!
